The so-called "misery index" (adds unemployment rate and inflation - 6.4%) hasn't been bettered in 17 years. You have to go back to 2007 to find a better (or lower) reading for the misery index. A result to be celebrated. And the Reserve Bank should have confidence to cut rates.
