This exchange is a perfect example of why Rubio got 99 votes for confirmation and also why nobody trusts the media anymore.

This is one of the saddest and most desperate attempts I’ve ever seen at opposing school choice. When this lie doesn’t work, what’s next? “School vouchers will make climate change worse!”

There are supporters of Ed freedom and then there are true champions. Idaho families have so much power over their education decisions thanks to Wendy Horman and Lori Den Hartog

It’s amazing to me that so many “public dollars belong in public schools” people are so upset about the federal government cancelling $400 million worth of grants and contracts to Columbia University. I honestly can’t seem to make sense of their mental gymnastics anymore.

If the private sector option costs $5k and the public sector option costs $15k, and people choose the $5k option - isn’t that a good thing?

Texas will finally have school choice. Early this AM, the House voted out choice 85-63. This is a historic event, and great thanks goes to all the legislators, leaders and parents who have fought so hard for the last 25 years. Brad Buckley Greg Abbott Brandon Creighton

If a journalist is calling an education savings account (ESA) a voucher, they are not objective and are intentionally misleading the public.

The solution to chronic absenteeism in schools isn’t more laws or law enforcement. It’s offering a better product so kids are engaged and want to be there.

🎉 It’s official: Governor Greg Abbott has signed SB 2, establishing a universal ESA in Texas! Texas is putting families in control—and giving kids the freedom to learn in the way that best works for them. Thank you Dan Patrick, Dustin Burrows, Brandon Creighton &

There is a certain population of people that consider more funding to something that is underperforming “reform.” They ignore history, economics, private and public sector trends.

Craig Hulse Yes, school choice has expanded substantially in the US since 2020. Over 24 states passed or expanded programs; 33 now offer private options, 15 with universal eligibility. Enrollment doubled to >1M students. ESAs grew from 5 to 17 states. Likely 2025 expansions in TX and TN.

This is confusing to me. They have told us for over a decade that they are not government sponsored media because only a small piece of their funding s from the government. Then the government funding stops and they have shutdown? Sounds like they were lying.
