Congratulations to SkeletonParkBrewery for winning the title of Favourite Featured Beer during Craft Beer Days Kingston! Their Rhus Typhina Gruit, brewed with Staghorn Sumac, was a light, tart and refreshing treat on an unseasonably warm weekend. And it was absolutely delicious!

November started with a string of four straight foggy days, the likes of which I can’t remember in my lifetime. But luckily the fog didn’t extend indoors or I may have totally “mist” this Northwinds Brewhouse/Brewpub Foggy Shores NEIPA at the back of the fridge!

If you could speak with animals, what would they say? These animals told me to drink this Speak with Animals Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout from ChronicleBrewing. Well, that’s what most of the animals were saying…the whale was just trying to convince me that it is, in fact, an animal!

And just like that, December is upon us! So get out the holiday decor, cue the festive music and crack into a bottle of Belgian IPA from La Chouffe. There’s only one man with a red hat and a white beard that I’m interested in and he’s from Belgium, not the North Pole!

Good beer is best shared with friends, and I’m happy that my friendship with Jeff – the man behind Victory Design Co. – is well into its third decade! We recently shared a La Trappe Trappist Tripel (Jeff’s first Tripel!), while discussing ideas for #InternationalTripelDay.

How will the Carlsberg Group’s purchase of Waterloo Brewing impact the Ontario craft beer scene? I have no idea. But if the sale goes through, Waterloo Brewing will no longer be the oldest independent brewery in the province. That title will transition to Wellington Brewery.

I did my best Kevin McCallister impression this weekend and ate pizza for nearly every meal. And while such a diet seems more appropriate for an 8-year-old boy than a 43-year-old man, I made it adult-appropriate by adding in La Goletta Italian Pilsner from Stonehooker Brewing.

We’re celebrating! Beer release 1 of 3 We have not been keeping this one much of a surprise in the hopes that you will join us, craftbeerdays Brock Street Brewing Company Folly Brewing and LittleBeastsBrewCo in celebrating #InternationalTripelDay

Let's celebrate International #Tripel Day together! On March 3rd craftbeerdays, SPB and many others around will be raising a glass in celebration of International Tripel Day. The fridge will be fully stocked for you to enjoy a delicious glass at home! #ygk #beer #craftbeer

Happy to celebrate one of my favourite styles of beer tomorrow with craftbeerdays #TripelDay! Find a Tripel and join the party! I've got Brock Street Brewing Company, Folly Brewing, Meuse Farm Brewery & Market & Shacklands Brewing lined up and ready to go!

It's March 3rd (3/3) and that can only mean one thing, it's #InternationalTripelDay. These three mice are getting an early start on things (better watch your pantry). This is the kind of holiday I can get behind. Join craftbeerdays and follow all the festivities. #TripelDay

A little late getting to the #TripelDay party, but I'm starting off with a bang! Shacklands Brewing 7.9% Tripel pouring now on Pints with Polk (Many thanks yo craftbeerdays) : youtu.be/H19wqFD0Gds

International Tripel Day (March 3rd) may have passed, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t continue to celebrate the style. And tomorrow is a special day because it marks the release of Where You Can’t Follow Belgian Tripel, the contribution to the initiative from LittleBeastsBrewCo.
