Progressive staffers want to bring the 32-hour workweek to Congress. Congressional Progressive Staff Association is set to send this letter to members later today. Would be rotating — 32-hour week for DC staff when Congress is out of session, 32-hour week for district staff when they're in session.

A 32-hour workweek shouldn’t be a special perk for gov. employees — we want to set an example nationwide that it doesn’t just MAINTAIN productivity, but can INCREASE it. Don’t buy it? Try it out! If the quality or amount of work your staff does decreases, we’ll stand corrected.

The Congressional Progressive Staff Association released the following statement in response to its January 16th letter about a rotating 32-hour workweek for staff.
