The Department of State is in contact with county officials in Cambria County. Voters are continuing to vote by paper ballot, in accordance with normal operations, while the county resolves the issue with in-precinct scanning. We are working with the County to resolve this

Erie County, Pa.: Following a ballot mailing snafu, a lawsuit and massive efforts to provide remedies to voters, the county reports having received 82% of the mail-in ballots it had sent out as of 7 a.m. In 2020, 84% of voters here had returned their ballots before Election Day.

Cambria County President Judge Linda Rovder Fleming has extended voting hours there from 8 pm to 10 pm, with votes after 8 pm cast provisionally after a software malfunction prevented the scanning of ballots this morning.
