Today is the 26th anniversary of the crash of C-GPUN, the BC Ambulance medevac Learjet and crew went down into the ocean in the early morning hours near Masset, BC. Tragic losses like this motivate me to improve safety & help advance the Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation national paramedic memorial.

The CPMF is pleased to announce that Canadian Heritage has approved our proposal for a National Paramedic Monument, honouring Canada’s fallen paramedics, in the National Capital Region. This approval is a significant milestone and we look forward to see this monument become a reality.

Today, we remember the anniversary of the tragic loss of paramedic Theresa Bond. 42 at the time of her death, was the Unit Chief of the Atlin station in northwest BC. She died in a plane crash en route to a meeting in Smithers. Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation #LODD #neverforget #paramedic

The CPMF was please to host a key milestone towards the completion of the National Canadian Paramedic Monument today. Key stakeholders, paramedic representatives, National Capital Commission, Canadian Heritage staff and experts collaborated on the vision of a Paramedic Monument.

Today I met with Tom Zajac, President of the Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation The CDN Paramedic Memorial Foundation is committed to building a national monument honouring the dedication & sacrifice of all Canadian civilian & military paramedics who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Eric Glass was a passionate advocate for the paramedic profession, and a friend to many on the CPMF board. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends, and we truly appreciate that his family has chosen the CPMF as one of the causes to support in his memory.
