Special education is a SERVICE a student receives. This is not a student's identity. There are no "special education students."

The math standards are paired with the 8 mathematical practices. Students should ALWAYS be engaged in AT LEAST one of these practices. It is not uncommon that a math worksheet has zero of these.

Students who feel excluded or disliked because of a difference from a majority group live with feelings of stress. This slow-burning stress over time is trauma that takes a toll a person’s health and wellbeing. #LeadInclusion #SEL #EdChat #Inclusion
