We conducted emergency coastal defence work to protect a major road and prevent future flooding near the A12 at Benacre sluice, near Lowestoft in Suffolk. The area was close to being breached, with 37 homes and farmland also at risk. 1/2

Maintenance work to the fender at Southwold Harbour will take place next week. Coastal Partnership East have appointed East Suffolk Water Management Board to carry out the work. For safety, there will be no public access to the North Pier during the works.
