CPAWS NL was thrilled to attend the announcement of a collaboration between Parks Canada and the @CityofStJohns to explore opportunities for creating a new Urban National Park yesterday. We eagerly await the outcomes and planning of this initiative #UrbanNationalPark #CPAWSNL
On June 26, the Min. of Fisheries ended a 32-year cod moratorium, increasing catches by 6000 tons & opening it to foreign interests. We support FFAW-Unifor call against this, advocating for sustainable rebuilding to protect cod stocks & NL’s fishers. Sign saveourcod.ca
