#PPOD: The Distant Past 🕰️ In this new NASA Webb Telescope picture, the eye is first drawn to the central mega-monster, galaxy cluster Abell S1063. This behemoth collection of galaxies, lying 4.5 billion light-years from Earth in the constellation Grus (the Crane), dominates the scene.

1. Maybe bc 'cyberpunk' aestethics has become congealed around early 1990s, Mark Fisher 'lost futures' having something to do with it. Also differences are remarkable too (wireless vs wired) as well as a more mature, techno critical attitude - towards a deregulated 'frontier'.

I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But as much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest

BREAKING🚨: 95% of the universe — of physical reality — is entirely invisible to us. Humans only see light between 430-790THz and hear sounds between 20Hz-20KHz. These ranges are just a tiny fraction of the full spectrum of existence.

Did you know a massive star is sort of like an onion? As it fuses chemical elements into heavier ones, it builds up layers of different elements as it switches from one fuel to the next. Eventually, it’ll end up with iron at the core and collapse. go.nasa.gov/3Ifb9f2
