Teacher story: "I have covid. I cover numerous schools in Granite. I was told I could come back to work after ten days, even with minor symptoms ("cough, sniffles"). After speaking with the UDOH, I was told I had to be 24-hour symptom-free (including minor symptoms)."

Granite policy is that social distancing will be practiced whenever possible. Why was it not possible here?

"Had a meeting on Friday where the parent specifically said his child tested negative, but the doctor told him it was a false negative and they definitely had COVID. Student shows up for class on Monday, and my hands are tied since technically the test showed negative." #uted

Reminder about the new quarantine rules: In schools, if you are masked when you are exposed to someone with COVID, you don't have to quarantine. Many teachers are concerned about this policy and have observed its ineffectiveness in their classrooms.
