β€œThe British Parliament is, and always has been, the constitution. The doctrine of Parliamentary sovereignty reflected this fact, that no power exists above Parliament – as the Monarch, Lords and Commons in one. This was undone entirely by New Labour.” Me for The Mallard πŸ¦†.

As devotees of Schopenhauer, Wagner called his mistress Vorstell (Representation), and she called him Will. I don't advise doing this.

Jacob Phillips The Critic A good summary of why I avoid such art galleries. I get so annoyed by the accompanying text that I can't appreciate the art. I want the artist's name, the subject and date of the painting and a brief factual biography of the painter. That's it.

Piccadilly Circus 1979. Pre-social media, the city streets were frenetic, chaotic, and unpredictable. You never knew what you might see, and who you'd encounter. There'd always be some madcap weirdness going on, and some sort of high jinx to get involved with. This has all gone.
