We have two 2-year #postdoc openings in our group! The first is on electrochemical nitrate+carbonate conversion: rb.gy/qc1uau. The second focuses on temperature effects in CO2 electrolysis: rb.gy/cejy50. Please do apply! RT's are appreciated. TU Delft | Mechanical Engineering

The WaterLily.jl preprint is now available on arXiv! πŸ“° arxiv.org/abs/2407.16032 WaterLily is a #CFD solver written in the #JuliaLang for incompressible flow and moving bodies. Together with Gabriel D Weymouth, we provide the main numerical methods, the design behind the 1/2

Had a blast this week at the very first #EFDC1 conference in Aachen. Very proud of the presentations by our very bright Sanath and Asif, and to attend a heart warming lecture by Paolo Orlandi. Looking forward to next years one in Dublin!

Am I the only one who sees CVs for PhD position applications with ~5 publications and quite some citations on g scholar as 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩?

Temperature contours in two numerical simulations of the turbulent flow between a cold and a hot wall (flow from left to right), with the same Reynolds and Prandtl numbers. Can you guess what causes the differences? :) #FluidsFriday

Very nice work led by Asif Hasan from our department on how to fix current turbulence (RANS) models for compressible wall-bounded turbulent flows. Preprint here: arxiv.org/abs/2410.14637 Hopefully this will make it fast to commercial CFD software, as the improvement is dramatic!

CaNS, the flow solver I wrote in a break in the summer of 2017, has reached 200⭐️ on GitHub 🀩. I did not anticipate the impact that this code had on my work and all the cool things many others have done with it. New version will come soon with several important updates!

πŸŽπŸŽ… Christmas came early! πŸŽ…πŸŽ. I am happy to share that we have been awarded an NVIDIA Academic Grant, supporting our effort to better understand convective turbulence in extreme cases. We are going to put these cards to great use! 😎 #NVIDIAGrant NVIDIA AI Developer
