One more from Colorado in 1988. The AWA invades Boulder for one night only to present Super Clash! Proto-Vader, "Baby Bull" vs. Proto-Yoko, the slim, trim, and very agile Great Kokina. Plus a rare AWA appearance by Dr. Death. ☠️

Tito Torres takes two of the most dangerous bumps out of the ring I've ever seen. 9:10 the fun begins and even Vince can't handle it... youtu.be/GR3BzJCbnMo?si…

Not just the Lady Angel vs. the masked Red Tigress, but also the sensational blockbuster match of (Young) BUDDY ROGERS vs. GORGEOUS GEORGE (Grant) at the Greeley (Colorado) Armory, February 1, 1952. For those wondering, Young Buddy Rogers was Bill Powell (also a Bummy Rogers).

Toots Mondt plays second fiddle as he manages the Swedish Angel against the French version at MLG🇨🇦, Dec. 17, 1942. After running the Los Angeles territory into the ground, Toots avoided any responsibility by fleeing & agreeing to become Jack Pfefer's #2 It wouldn't last long

Jack Pfefer's girls get top billing on this big card in Monroe, Louisiana, April 30, 1968. Black Venus (Waver "Pearlie" Behn) was billed as the US negro women's champion—and even got the Pfefer publicity glow-up treatment (consisting of gluing various belts to her picture)

A whole bunch of Texas Mainstays on this October 5, 1959 card from Abilene. Gordo Chihuahua was portly lucha legend Tonina Jackson, while Zdanoff, a meanie from Minsk, was really Lee Jacobs, a TX rancher better known as Jack Pfefer's 4x world champ, "Bloody Demon" Jack O'Brien

It's easy to call Jack Pfefer predatory, but the following letter isn't unique. From "Red" O'Malley, broke and desperate, asking for work in Boston. He'd been fired by Pfefer years prior for his drinking—something Pfefer despised. He'd be working in Boston by December.
