About 3.30pm in a layby on the A30 just south of the Roche turning. Came off at Fraddon and a mile later not a flake of snow to me to frolic in once home! (Keep BBC Cornwall on your radio for continual updates!)

Quiet again this weekend but by the following weekend (25/26th Jan) the weather looks a lot different with another deep area of low pressure on the western side of Britain, both the GFS and ECMWF are in agreement

Found this in rotting branches a few years ago. Any guesses what it is? You don't see too many of them now a days. After #StormEowyn dont chip or burn the fallen branches. Make log piles, that can rot down. Can also plant around them, make a feature. Iolo Williams #gardens

Our @cornwallcouncil colleagues are responding to over 270 highways incidents relating to strong winds and heavy rain across the County. This has placed significant demand on highways teams and all available resources are working hard to resolve incidents as soon as possible.

Take another look at the water either side of the baulk separating the inner and outer harbours - demonstrating just how crucial they are to protect our boats.

Delighted that St Hilary Church, West Cornwall, will feature on BBC Songs of Praise this Sun, 23rd Feb, at 1.15pm on BBC1 in an edition entitled “Art in Churches.” Some of our wonderful early 20th century artwork from the Newlyn School will be a focus. Catch up on iPlayer if you miss it.

Should the car remain king in #Cornwall? Or is it time to re-balance our town centres more towards cyclists and pedestrians? I’ve been in #Camborne to hear locals’ views. More tomorrow morning on BBC Cornwall with James Churchfield.

🎙️it’s Naomi Kennedy in for James Churchfield this Monday morning and we’re talking about medals Lovely story about how a St Austell man has got his dad’s WW2 medals back thanks to a Wadebridge antique dealer Why are medals so important to us? Your thoughts?
