We're hearing about the benefits of sleep pods in Teesside and County Durham as the number of rough sleepers rise. CornerstoneSH - which have hubs in Hartlepool and Bishop Auckland - say they're purpose-built shelters that are better than tents. @Nicky_Morson tells us more👇

In the last 7 days, we’ve served 70 meals and 146 hot drinks, while our teams supported 81 individuals who came through our doors. Among them, 4 presented as homeless, and we were able to work with @hpoolcouncil to secure them into our emergency accommodation.🧡💙

Celebrating Keith’s Hard Work & Independence! 🧡💙 14 months ago, Keith faced homelessness. With support from Willington Open Door Methodist Church & our team, he found housing, gained life skills & built confidence. Now, he’s moving into his very own home!🧡💙

Our dedicated homeless response teams actively follows up on all notifications from the general public and Street Link regarding anyone experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping in Hartlepool.

🚨 Success in Bishop Auckland! Thanks to the incredible teamwork between Bishop Auckland Police, our team, and Durham County Council , we secured our emergency accommodation for someone homeless, getting them off the streets within an hour. 💙🧡
