Excited to share our recent review on Microphysiological Systems for Cancer Immunotherapy Research and Development led by Harry Peng Cornell BME Esak (Isaac) Lee! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100…
Mature adipocytes are critically important to health and disease but poorly understood because they are notoriously difficult to culture. Garrett Beeghly Cornell BME has developed protocols making it possible! Check out his STAR Protocols paper
Jacob Odell and Jan Lammerding Lammerding Lab Weill Institute for Cell & Molecular Biology Cornell BME discuss how N-terminal tags impair the ability of lamin A to provide structural support to the nucleus. Highlight: journals.biologists.com/jcs/article/13… Article: journals.biologists.com/jcs/article-ab…
Our research showing how N-terminal tags, even when small, can perturb some but not other functions of #lamins was just published in J Cell Science. The work was single handedly done by fantastic PhD student Jacob Odell. Thanks to VolkswagenStiftung, U.S. National Science Foundation, NIH NHLBI & NIGMS for support
Excited to share our latest study in ACS Biomat Sci & Eng, led by Renhao Lu Cornell BME! We utilized a 3D lymphatic vessel model that drains various-sized nanoparticles (NPs), revealing size-dependent NP transport mechanisms in lymphatic drug delivery. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
So much positive energy Cornell BME symposium poster session and a fantastic talk by our keynote speaker and alumna Assistant Professor Monet Roberts, PhD! Thanks to our student chapter for organizing!!!
So delighted to see Assistant Professor Monet Roberts, PhD returning to the Cornell BME program to talk with incoming PhD students, sharing both her research and practical tips about beginning a lab and establishing a career. “Bloom where you are planted.”
A panel of cancer survivors shared their personal experiences with cancer with incoming PhD students in Cornell BME program.
Thank you so much Cornell BME Cornell BMES for organizing! I enjoyed the opportunity to share our work with the Cornell Cancer Partnership community and welcoming the incoming class of PhD students!
Thankful to be in esteemed company with this award! For those going to the ASBMR Annual Meeting who are interested in imaging the International Society of Bone Morphometry (ISBM) meeting is for you! I’ll be giving a research talk 📊 👨🏽🏫and leading an in vivo imaging workshop 🔬🐁 #ASBMR2024 #ISBM2024

Science is a process!! This manuscript has come a long way over the last year. Trainees, remember that sometimes great work takes time. Be patient and “trust the process” (#JoelEmbid Philadelphia 76ers). Updated version (with new data🤩) available on BioRxiv. #orthotwitter #academictwitter
Great to see recent Cornell Engineering Cornell BME Ph.D. Emily Laurilliard on this list of NYS Science Policy Fellows!
