📢 JUST A TEST 📢 Duke Energy will test the McGuire Nuclear Sirens tomorrow, July 10, 2024, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sirens are tested regularly to ensure they are working correctly. The testing is part of normal maintenance and no public action is necessary.

We are aware of the situation at Bailey Middle School. We are handling the situation and parents need to report to Foamex and NOT come to the school or Bailey Road Park.

🚨UPDATE: kids are heading to the busses now. They are loading by grade level. They will still be heading to Foamex(FXI on the sign). (18801 Old Statesville Rd). PARENTS PLEASE GO THERE AND NOT THE PARK.

🚨UPDATE: 17 buses are being loaded now. Students will be organized by grade when they arrive to Foamex so you will be able to locate your child.

🚨UPDATE: At Foamex, students can be picked up by class. They’re starting with the sixth grade class now that are being shuttled over. You can pick up your child there.

🚨UPDATE: All sixth graders have been loaded onto buses and are making their way to Foamex now. We are on our second bus of seventh graders and they’re making their way to the Foamex property as well.

🚨UPDATE: 15 buses have been shuttled so far from Bailey Road Park to Foamex. We have almost completed shuttling the seventh grade.

🚨update for ALL parents🚨 Everyone is safe. We are in the process of reunifying students and parents at this time. More updates will follow throughout the afternoon, but as of now all students and staff are safe.
