My Dads in his early 60’s… lost everything in 08, wouldn’t declare bankruptcy… instead lived like a pauper nearly 20 years to pay his debts. Now he’s expecting a $200k check from his ESOP company that sold, and stands to inherit $500k from his first boss! So glad for him!
