A white Goniatite fossil on a dark shale background. The shells of these ancient relatives of Squid and Octopus tend to preserve well in the fossil record and there are millions of them scattered through the rock layers in the Cliffs of Moher. County Clare, Ireland.

Pretty Pebble. Volcanic in origin, likely originating in County Galway and transported here to Clare by glacial activity. Flecked with pinks, greens and blues. County Clare, Ireland.
