October 15, 1994 was 30 years ago today...it really was one of the most important days of my adult life as it was my first practice at Emerson College as Hank Smith as my Coach...I would not be doing what I do now without that day...so grateful for him and what he did for me...

Year 13 as an NBA scout just tipped off…the job has taken me a lot of places including today, to South Dakota…maybe one day I’ll actually work for a living…

Great news from Emerson College and Emerson Athletics today as the school has announced they are going to officially name the basketball court after our Coach - Hank Smith this coming January...so appreciative of this honor for the person that had a profound affect on so many lives.

Thank for putting this together, Alex. The news hit us all tough but think that Coach Smith took it the hardest. In his mind, Kabir separated himself as a teammate, which is something he appreciated and was something he didn't think one could fake. He will be missed.

Seven years later - He's now the Head Coach!! Can't wait to watch the Justin Furr era begin this season. I'll be watching with my new Barry gear on this season and hope to make a practice to see Coach Furr and the team in action.
