I'm incredibly delighted that this awesome chemistry is finally out in print! Congratulations to all my co-authors. Now, indulge me as I share some thoughts on what makes the Radlab an awesome place to do science, and why I am so proud of Hye Won (Hanna) Moon. x.com/hyewon__moon/s…
Excited to share the lab's first paper J. Am. Chem. Soc.: Ultra-rapid Electrophilic Cysteine Arylation pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…
I’m on the job market at American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) this year! My lab will develop the concept of “electrodivergent” catalysis, where we will design electrocatalysts by taking active sites from thermocatalysis and using voltage to enhance reaction outcomes. Would love to chat more! #AIChE2023
nature.com/articles/s4156… Thank you Sebastian Z. Oener for this highlight of our recent publication!
My lab's 2nd paper is out in Nature Catalysis! What is happening at the electrified interface during electroorganic reactions? Here is our first taste of revealing how it's organized to enable fragment-based electrophile coupling! w QC, Sarah, Rocco nature.com/articles/s4192…
Blowing the top off volcano plots! In our latest publication Nature Chemistry, Noah figured out that interfacial PCET mechanisms depend on proton donor and acceptor identities, resulting in a rate minimum near neutral pH and rate maximization at both pH 0 and pH 14.
Finding electrochemistry where you might not expect it! In our latest paper in Nature Catalysis, Kunal and Bryan dive into the mechanism of nitrate hydrogenation on bimetallic catalysts. nature.com/articles/s4192…
Super excited to share our recent publication on how catalyst AND solution proton sources work together in iron porphyrin CO2 reduction! Check it out! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja… J. Am. Chem. Soc.
Excited to share Karl’s new paper showing how we can use electrostatic polarization to drastically accelerate thermochemical reactions. Now published in Science Magazine. Great job Román Lab @ MIT and bsky.app/profile/interphases.org! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
Our latest paper is out now in Science Magazine! Congrats to Karl, as well as Max and Thejas! Learn about it below 👇 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
