I am extremely honored - together with the brilliant Dr. Monika L Bayer - to chair the Scientific Commitee of next years #Sportskongres 2025. A Scandinavian scientific commitee is now formed and includes: Guri Ekås, MD, orthopaedic surgeon, University of Oslo, (Norway)

PhD candidate Oscar Vila-Dieguez (Oscar Vila Dieguez), awarded the IntSoc Biomechanics Matching Dissertation Grant for completion of his research on the mechanisms of improvement in rotator cuff tendinopathy, exploring tendon morphology, neuromuscular and psychosocial factors. Congrats!

Congratulations to our student Oscar (Oscar Vila Dieguez), recipient of the Graduate Student Grant-in-aid for his project “The relationship of neuromuscular and tendon tissue factors to patient recovery in rotator cuff tendinopathy: an 8-week clinical investigation”

How well pitchers control transverse plane trunk and pelvis rotation during a single leg step down was related to how much elbow varus torque a pitcher experienced at a given ball velocity. Check it out! Lori Michener COOR Lab USC

I am incredibly proud of Oscar Vila Dieguez Oscar Vila Dieguez and the hard work that has made him deserving of this award! #proudmentor Lori Michener USC Physical Therapy

This is great! NIAID News have launched a collection of public domain illustrations (currently 550 individual icons) bioart.niaid.nih.gov

The pitching motion is a unique expression of individual muscle capacities working in concert. But how can we refine the list to the most effective group of measurements to explain injury risk and performance in our population? COOR Lab USC Lori Michener journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/23…

Congratulations Oscar Vila Dieguez Dr. Oscar Vila Dieguez on successfully defending your dissertation! The COOR lab is incredibly proud your accomplishments. And sorry we were so excited on that day we forgot to get a pic! We wish you success in your postdoc! Lori Michener @uscbkn

Congratulations to Oscar Vila Dieguez Oscar Vila Dieguez! Thanks for all your contributions to the COOR Lab. We look forward to all your future research to understand mechanisms and management of shoulder pain! Lori Michener USC Physical Therapy

Congratulations to COOR Lab PhD Candidate Matt Heindel (Matt Heindel) for being awarded a Graduate Student Research Grant from American Society of Biomechanics! Matt's work leverages biomechanics and neuroscience to better understand the mechanisms of pain in those with rotator cuff tendinopathy.🧠🦾
