Amazing consignment at our booth in the sportcardexpo show in Toronto, a pair of early 20th-century decal bats

Honus Wagner is the undeniable star of the pair but Canadian HOFer George “Mooney” Gibson’s bat is stunning, with a pair of early Canadian flags & a Tecumseh portrait

It was one of the highlights of my career.

Joe was delightful to talk to.

He told me about playing with Clemente and sharing spring training facilities with Jackie Robinson.

I received a note from Joe's son today. Joe has passed at 93.

Several years ago, I decided to write about every former player in this 1954 Montreal Royals photo.

I assumed all of the players had died.

Then I received a note from Joe Carbonaro's daughter who said Joe (middle bottom row) was very much still alive. I interviewed him.

Happy 55th Birthday to former Toronto Blue Jays reliever Ricky Trlicek!

He made two relief appearances for the Blue Jays in 1992.

P.S. I don't think there's baseball player's last name that I have struggled to spell correctly more than his.

Does anyone own a copy of this Terry Puhl New York Mets postcard?

It is a 1991 Barry Colla postcard.

I have a friend who needs it for his collection.

1984 Toronto Blue Jays Topps set. The basis for the 85 AL champs coming together. Bell, Barfield, Shaker Moseby, pitching depth and even Cliff Johnson. 2nd in east with 89 wins but couldn’t make up for that incredible Tigers run of 104 wins.
