We’re excited to be hosting #ConsGen22 alongside Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and The University of Edinburgh 🧬 Over the next three days, 200 delegates will see global experts in their field showcase the latest developments in conservation genetics! Follow along at European Conservation Genetics Meeting 💚


Next up we have Camila Mazzoni on behalf of European Reference Genome Atlas 🧬 She will discuss the challenges facing the industry at present and why the European Reference Genome Atlas (ERGA) is needed now more than ever. #ConsGen22





Please join us in welcoming Mrinilini Watsa from San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance to the #ConsGen22 stage 💚 In her talk, we will look at the In-Situ Laboratory Initiative which aims to create a decentralised biomonitoring and disease screening network in south eastern Peru.

Day 3 is off to a roaring start with our speaker Robert Ekblom from Naturvårdsverket! He will discuss the genetic population monitoring of Scandinavian large carnivores and how policy, management and research can all work together for wildlife conservation ♻️


Following on we have the incredible Laura Bertola from University of Copenhagen Research discussing harnessing genomic resources for lion conservation 🐾 She will look at: 🌍 Prioritising populations 📋 Informing decisions for translocations 🧬 Genetic diversity in captive breeding
