The second panel of our Crusades Network symposium focused specifically on warfare, and included Dr. Francesa Petrizzo (University of Glasgow) on military training of the south Italian Normans, as well as Prof. Alan Murray (University of Leeds) on the spread of trebuchet technology.

Final thanks to all attendees for our HaCC sponsored event Crusades Network seventh annual symposium, including our enthusiastic students on MMU's MA in History/Public History and Heritage. Crusades Network SSCLE #crusades #latineast #medievalhistory

Just received my contributor's copy of this fine volume edited by Dr Matt Firth from York Medieval Press Very nice coda to my term, looking forward to reading the other essays over Christmas.
