Household wastewater incorrectly plumbed into surface water drains causes sewage, cooking fats and oils, and detergents to pollute our rivers and streams 💩🐟 Identifying which properties are causing the problem can often be difficult, particularly in urban areas.

Our officers undertake assessments of surface water outlets to help us discover if sewage is entering streams through misconnected foul drainage. This information is then fed into our misconnections action plan with local councils and water companies 👷‍♀️ 👷🏼
