The question of consciousness is deeply embedded in memory research. Understanding this incredible link will allow us to live happier and more productive lives. Find out more about this here: youtu.be/2dKCDgoNetM COST Kristian Sandberg @RenateRutiku Jovana Bjekic

One of the clinical applications of consciousness research is to be used for locked-in patients who are not able to communicate directly with their careers. Check this out to understand other applications here: youtube.com/watch?v=8kBjEH…

The NeuralArchCon line-up at the #ASSC25 #theassc is continued by Katarzyna Hat 🦄🦄🦄 she dazzles us with one of the biggest efforts to explore metacognition across modalities.

Daniel Margulies talked about his *impressive* work on gradients and network organization. Daniel started his talk by showing us how concepts from other disciplines can be brilliantly applied to understanding the human brain & its functionalities. Interdisciplinarity is key! 🔑

Chen Song left us speechless and curious about what constitutes an optimal brain 🧠 . Chen's work is massive and profound as she dives deep into complex concepts. Also, she beautifully uses different MRI modalities and sleep-deprivation strategies to address these questions.

Paola Galdi, Irene Mikkelsen, and Claude Bajada took over the practical in functional and diffusion MRI - they explained in such a didactic and straightforward way a concept as complex as MRI and many ways to pre-process and analyze it.

If you think we talked "only" about MRI, you are wrong. NeuralArchCon includes several bio-samples, and Per Qvist walked us through concepts such as epigenetics and how we can use neurogenetics with MRI to help us understand brain associations from a micro-macro perspective 🧬 🧠

Finally, Agoston Mihalik closed off the week the best way possible with an intro and demo of his CCA/PLS toolbox. I'm sure that, like me, you wondered if there is anything out there linking brain-behavior, taking into account essential concepts from ML to improve such models.

The #EEG team has completed collection of the data for the NeuralArchCon COST! It was a collaborative effort between Psychology JU and Lobi_Nencki enabled by the Narodowe Centrum Nauki funding awarded to Michal Bola. Over 600 datasets collected from 300 participants. Tremendous effort!🏆

Thanks a million to C-LAB for organising our NeuralArchCon/#skuldnet summer school! I'm still in awe over the amazing work of the trainers and the smart, eager participants. I had such a great time with you all. Thanks to Mariana Pereira (marianapereira.bsky.social) for the highlights :)

Happy to share one of our first (behavioural) papers using NeuralArchCon/#skuldnet data: The role of mindful acceptance and lucid dreaming in nightmare frequency and distress. nature.com/articles/s4159…

❓Can mindfulness prevent nightmares? If you had no chance to read a paper published Scientific Reports by Sofia Tzioridou et al., we talked to Sofia, the 1st author, and summed it up for you 😀 bit.ly/3WToVqf CC: Kristian Sandberg Philipps-Universität

🥳 🎊 I am really excited to share this project started in 2019 (when I was still a PhD student) with Katarzyna Hat, @RenateRutiku, Michał Wierzchoń, and Kristian Sandberg on domain-general confidence! osf.io/preprints/osf/… 1/7
