For people who have been studying the misinformation campaign around the Depp v Heard trial, this verdict is chilling. The success of Depp’s “redemption arc” narrative reveals a lot about our social media platforms and ourselves. A thread of things I learned during Depp v Heard:
Check out what we found from repeated exposure experiments in the context of climate change. This is one of the coolest projects I’ve worked on. I learned so much from Chris Skurka and Jessica Gall Myrick, PhD about repeated exposure/longitudinal experiment design, multilevel analyses, etc.
I enjoyed presenting the study coauthored with Chris Skurka about narrative point of view and getting some thought provoking ideas from other presenters in our panel titled “Narrative Communication in Health Promotion.”
My research team is looking for members of the LGBTQ+ community to participate in a paid focus group study about sexual health! To see if you’re eligible, complete this 1-minute survey: tinyURL.com/psuMAPstudy. Jessica Gall Myrick, PhD @DrTornello TakeControlPhilly Philadelphia Public Health

Big thanks to my committee members and many people within and outside of Penn State Bellisario College. I’m super grateful for the support along the way! My new journey will start this fall at @FSU_COM as a tenure track assistant professor.
Congratulations to faculty Chris Skurka & Jessica Gall Myrick, PhD, & doctoral alum Yin Yang 杨胤 for being recognized with the AEJMC_ComSHER Article of the Year! #AEJMC24 psu.edu/news/bellisari…
