For months now I have been pressing the government to assist in the evacuation of seriously injured children from Gaza to secure vital health treatments. Despite past promises, nothing has happened. I am calling for action. Ukrainian children were helped & so should Palestinian.

The ongoing suffering of Palestinians in Gaza remains on all our minds & the need for a permanent ceasefire is ever pressing. I am proud of the campaign we have waged in my local community for peace & justice for the Palestinian people, which I have been able to give voice to.

My community desperately needs a change of government. We need a government that will work with us not against us. A Labour Government.

I attended today’s commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the tragic loss of 37 workers’ lives when the air raid shelter at the EMI factory in Hayes was hit by a V1 in World War 2. I laid a scented rose from my garden. A rose from a Hayes garden to the memory of Hayes workers.

Today is the last day of the debate on the King’s Speech & there will be a series of votes. I will vote today in support of the amendment calling for the scrapping of the iniquitous 2 child limit on benefits, which has caused such hardship. I explain why in this short video.
