Check it out 👇📖Yunus Sevinchan and I share our experiences Science of Intelligence as computational modellers joining biologists on field trips. 🌵🌊 From stinky sulphur streams and uncharted ocean waters to building computer models that explain biological phenomena. 🐟💻 #fishteam

Had a blast presenting it at #SAB2024 'From Animals to Animats' 🐟🐦🤖💻 Many thanks to the organisers at UC Irvine & Science of Intelligence, and University of Groningen & NWO Funding for their support! Full proceedings here: link.springer.com/book/10.1007/9…

Fantastic international conference of Poeciliid Biologists at Texas State University just ended. Big thank you to Cummings and Gabor-Asbury labs for great organisation! Here are some impressions...and yes, we helpt @michitobler to catch some fish! See you '26 in Padua!

🐟🐟🐟Is fast prey also easy prey? Researchers from the Science of Intelligence have shown in an underwater field study in the #ocean off Mexico that the faster a school of prey moves, the higher the capture rate of the striped marlin: igb-berlin.de/en/news/fast-p… Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

New paper out! IGB Berlin (now on Bluesky) and Science of Intelligence scientists have discovered that when striped marlin hunt groups of small fish, the faster the escape the more the marlin get to eat!
