In North Carolina, you can consent to sex at 16, but your parents can ask to review materials you wish to check out from the public school library up to age 18. So you can get pregnant, but you might not be able to read stories about it. Makes sense. /6

A policy limiting K-2 suspensions 1) reduced suspensions, 2) substantially closed the Black-White suspension gap, 3) increased achievement for high-risk students, and 4) had no negative effects on achievement or discipline for other students. edworkingpapers.com/ai24-950

This is correct. As we learned in Colorado, implementation could not overcome the staunch opposition that remained after passge of SB191. Culture eats policy for breakfast.

This “journalist” has been carrying a lot of water for wealthy suburbs who are disgruntled that they will be held accountable for pulling their own weight to fund schools. It’s rich that MS Today slapped “analysis” at the top of this article. Pun intended.

'We didn’t want public funds connected to a project about a polarizing geopolitical issue that is still playing out.” Yes, let's wait until the issue plays out like it did for the indigenous people in the US. That worked out well.

I’m so tired of the ignorant hot takes.

The U.S. has ALWAYS imposed at least SOME restrictions on military aid, even to Israel!
