Vis a vis the apparent freakout that government programs help people raise their children: We all pay to help raise children that aren't ours, one way or another. You want to live in a functioning society? You're gonna have to help people who are struggling raise kids.

Hey Disney+! I know nothing I say will stop you from gradually making your service a worse value proposition, but maybe don’t go down the shitty Road Netflix went down? Don’t love being told what I can and can’t do with my own accounts.

Rae Tyler and I grew up together in Saint John's south end. It's been 15+ years since I've seen her but I'll always remember her smile. Her family says she struggled to get the help she needed for her mental health. She spent the last three years living in a tent.

This is why your power bill is so high despite losing power on a monthly basis, btw. Can we please end this absurd and expensive relationship and return NSP to a government entity?

You know that healthcare in NS is working great when the NP doing your virtual consult (who is genuinely doing their best and trying to help) asks if you can get into a walk-in clinic and you both just kind of laugh at the idea that you could get into a clinic.

Nothing as humbling as walking into physio sure you've finally got a real-deal big injury only for the physio to be like "this is the most minor strain I can diagnose."

The "let's force everyone back into the office" narrative never made sense but it's dumber every second. These employees are adults. They've discovered how they prefer to work and their productivity hasn't suffered. Why are we doing this?

When horrible things happen, the current government of Nova Scotia seems to constantly step out and say the least sensitive thing possible. They're in power, but talk as though they're outside government, unable to act or affect change.

Hi EA SPORTS NHL. Just curious how an EASHL player can give their avatar the name "Penny Pinching Jew" and your report team says that's A-OK, while I still can't use my actual last name in-game?

Are you standing up for what's good and just or are you being manipulated by power-seeking individuals into becoming a hateful, paranoiac who is out to attack vulnerable minorities?

It's important to remember that monopolistic ownership of local media can have chilling effects even if ownership isn't directly and openly telling journalists what to write about. Even as a freelancer, I wonder how Postmedia would tolerate my being critical of their decisions.

Before PlayStation puts out a PS5 Pro it’d be great if they’d invest in stuff like a base controller model that doesn’t cost $100 and break every 6 months.

Hey WestJet! Flying Lethbridge-Calgary-Halifax in October. Suddenly you change it to a 17-hour layover in Calgary and I’m being told my options are pay for my own hotel, drive myself to Calgary at my own expense or a daisy-chain of flights on a different day. Unbelievable.

Almost Intelligent (@colinhodd) 's Twitter Profile Photo

When did we let airlines make the argument that they're not selling you a ticket for a particular flight at a particular time? Because that's what they fall back on now and it's ridiculous. We pay money upfront, they make whatever changes they like and say too bad.

The poor. The homeless. Immigrants. LGTBQ+ people. These are the targets of our current grievance-fueled conservative politics. Grow. Up. None of our problems can be laid at the feet of these people. Be an adult and look for solutions that aren’t scapegoating and bullying.

Here's a three-step comprehensive decision-making guide for your Halloween costume: 1. Should I wear a Klan costume, yes or no? -> If brain said no, no. -> If brain said yes, no. -> If brain said "everyone is too sensitive these days!", no. 2. No. 3. Absolutely not, you moron.
