Frost impact to wheat Pdk in Sth Mallee(Vic). Purple dots where greater than 0.9 t/ha potential grain yield remains. Red is rooted but suitable biomass for hay. 1100 acres there. 4 hr task. Assess,don’t guess.

Woorak Landcare Agrifutures funded soil health project continues to reveal the data both good and bad North of Nhill. Great to see the correlations between soil nutrient status and leaf sap results. Also seeing incongruous results that help identify issuesimpacting production

The Wimmere heads into its 2nd Multi Day frost event during the critical flowering period. Had the chance to get some fungicide & heliothis control onto crops that are doing pretty well as we've had 100 mm less GSR than desirable. I did ponder..."am i wasting all my time..."

Out for an early Scout for the upcoming Nhill South Landcare Frost Identification session. 7 days from impact is nearly to early, but found a few examples showing already. Feel free to bring a plant sample with you, whole plant is best.

41.8% impact to Maximus out in the Little Desert . At least there’s enough soil moisture to fill what’s left .

Nhill South Landcare's 'Drones in Ag" day went off well with over 20 participants, travelling from as far as Clear Lake to see the birds in action. Thanks to Drone Sales Adelaide and C.R Kennedy Geospatial Solutions for collaborating and fielding many questions on the day.

Nhill South Landcare hosted a Frost I.D. event West of Nhill today Decent turnout given that Hay making is in full swing. Went through Calculating yield, method to ID impact, and apply the loss to that Yield Discussions as to what amplifies impact and harvest strategies as well.

Severe Hail cell has developed over Lake Toolondo and changed direction. Cleaned up plenty of crop at Wonwondah and still unloading as makes its way Nth East.. Interesting night ahead.

About to commence Assessing existing hail damage in Vic Mallee and have this coming at me. Crazy Oct day#2.

30 mm overnight in the VIC Mallee have made a big difference to crop potentials. Also maxed out my bike skills whilst hail assessing. Soft landing though.
