Students part of the Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Sciences Society conducted research, and presented back to their peers on alternative routes into their desired pathways, allowing them to learn more about different ways to achieve their dreams! ICS

Our Year 12 students, who have been participating in the Institute for Research in Schools Future Flight programme, visited Cotswold Airport. They met the engineers who set the challenge of designing a sustainable aircraft, and had the chance to ask questions and do activities.

This week, our chess team competed in the annual Guildhall Chess Tournament, placing 5th out of 10 teams and emerging as the top-performing non-independent school! Well done to all of the team members!

We would like to thank The Riot Act for delivering an insightful road safety workshop to our Year 7 students! It was a fantastic experience for them!

Last week, some of our GCSE History students visited Berlin, exploring key historical sites like Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall, and Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. They gained valuable insights into the Nazi regime and interwar-year relations.

As part of our rewards system, some of our top-achieving students from last year attended a four-day trip to Wales, where they participated in various outdoor activities, including camping , rock climbing and water activities.

This week, students had the exciting opportunity to attend the Race for Diversity STEM Day at TeamSport Go Karting in Mitcham, where they participated in go-karting, a sustainability challenge, and a LEGO engineering activity!

This week, our Year 10 students performed neutralisation reactions in Chemistry!

As part of Volunteer Week, some of our students supported the food bank at St Mary’s Church, while others gave their time to the ‘Stay and Play’ toddler group at St Andrew’s. We are incredibly proud of the altruism and community spirit they have demonstrated!

Our students had the incredible opportunity to watch Carmen at the Royal Opera House. They described it as spine-chilling and a thrilling experience!

This week, some of our ICS students had the exciting opportunity to visit Amsterdam for two days. Travelling via Eurostar, they explored the city by visiting museums and enjoyed a fantastic time on a scenic canal cruise tour. A memorable experience for all involved! ICS
