Annual Camp 23 has begun and of course it's now raining! But still smiling! Middlesex & North West London ACF

Awesome day visiting Cadets from 19 and 20 Coy who are on the training area this week. Loving life in the field and loving the ration packs. They might not love the weather tomorrow! Met the asst staff from Kings Troop, one being a former cadet of mine from 15+ years ago.

Bit of a soggy day but plenty going on. Today I visited 23 Coy climbing and abseiling and 21 Coy 1 stars Clay Target shooting. Minibuses were full of song.

Out on the ranges today with 21 and 23 Coy at Sandhurst then on to AT in Aldershot. Highly recommend this place! Great time had by all, even the instructors had a go!

Most proud of our instructors receiving Greater London RFCA awards last evening. SSI Paresh Pandya Lord Lieutenant Meritorious Service Award and SSI Jenni Gilbert Best Detchment Commander. Well deserved recognition. Congratulations and thank you for all you do for our army cadets.

Fab visit to 19 Coy in the field on the Isle of Wight making good use of the training area and facilities. The ferry made it so much more of an adventure for all the cadets. They were buzzing! I made 2 promotions too. The Coy Cmdr to Maj & Trg Offr to Capt. Congrats to both

Well done to London cadets looking very smart today at the Colonel's Review in their No.1 dress, directing guests to the the stands and a medal sweep of the parade square at the end. I am sure they are looking forward to doing it all over again next week!

Pleased to host an #ArmedForcesWeek Reception on #ReservesDay, showing support for the whole Armed Forces community. These outstanding cadets received certificates of recognition from the Rep DL. Thanks to RAF Museum for the amazing venue and Barnet Band for the excellent music!

Today is the end of my 5 year tenure as Commandant of Middx & NW London ACF. Thank you to all who have been on the journey with me, inspiring young people to achieve. I shall miss it terribly and I take with me very happy memories. I wish the Sector much continued success.
