MAAIF_Coffee Production & Development Dept established coffee clubs in 10 universities across the country. Through the MoC, KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY coffee club will receive support to upgrade to a medium scale skills training hub. It is anticipated this will be completed by the end of the year.

December coffee exports were 418,829 bags valued at US$59.54m. Robusta, 331,476 bags valued at US $40.55m. Arabica, 87,353 bags at US$ 18.99m. Exports for 12 months (Jan-Dec 22) were 5.63m bags worth US$ 860m compared to 6.77m bags worth US$719m in 2021. bit.ly/3wcKgzp
