Nanoparticle sintering is a prime cause of catalyst deactivation. In our Nanoscale journal family paper, we deposit sub-monolayer MgO thin films on the surface of Pt nanoparticles. This enable delaying sintering while keeping the surface sites free for reaction. pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
