All of us have a need to have good people around us, particularly when times are challenging. Don’t forget the other side of that, and be present when people you care about are struggling. Love your people.
In most athletic contest, there are 4 participants. Just remember coaches can’t play, players shouldn’t try to officiate, parents can’t coach and officials don’t need to be spectators. Stay in your lane. In your life, allow God to be God, take time to recognize his role vs yours.
We live our lives in a constant state of change. Some change is positive and exciting, and some is challenging and painful. It’s much easier to deal with challenge and pain when we acknowledge it’s a part of life and trust that God is in control.
When we find ourselves in tough and challenging spaces we can’t forget the character and faithfulness of our God. Adversity gives us opportunities for growth as well as an opportunity to live out our faith as an example for others. Be the light!
Spring is such a busy time in the lives of coaches and teachers that we sometimes don’t take the time to admire God’s creation. Full calendars don’t exempt us from honoring God or acknowledging all the blessings in our lives.
Remember that God put these verses in the Bible knowing we are going to face tough and challenging times in our lives. Everybody’s challenges may look different but we all have them. Be encouraged that you aren’t alone.
As coaches we teach our athletes how to deal with sudden change in competition. Injuries, turnovers, weather can all create challenges, but the rules and how you score haven’t changed. Life can change suddenly, but our savior never changes.
As teachers and coaches let this verse remind you how important your work is. Most are very generous with their time and energy. It is your vocation, but can also be seen as a your mission. Continue to work hard and love kids, your reward goes beyond a paycheck.
Sharpening happens through heat and intentional friction. This process can be painful but the result can be rewarding. It takes more than a casual acquaintance, it takes someone that knows you and is not afraid to hold you accountable. We must also be willing to return the favor.

It is easy to get distracted by life’s challenges. We have a tendency to complain and for forget about the good things in our lives. This verse reminds us to have the discipline to remember all the good things in our lives in spite of our challenges.

There are so many coaches and teachers that live out this verse as they serve their students. They take kids that may be in a vulnerable state and love them and equip them with tools to be able to move forward. Education is a calling as well as a ministry. Kingdom work!
