Consensus may be better than Majority Rule, but how do you get consensus in such a large, diverse population? How possible is it? Perhaps the more realistic aim is Consent (which is a minimal form of consensus)?? Consent with an additional majority rule??

Egocentrism is cute, harmless, and to be expected in children. Not so cute or harmless in adults, and while it’s expected less in adulthood, it’s far too rampant (IMO).
