Shakeup in Division I playoffs: If seeds play out, Region 1 #1 seeds will meet up Region 3 #2 seeds (and so on) instead of Region 1 vs. 2 in 2nd round. This pushes potential 1-2 seed region rematches to the semis instead of quarters.

TNFCA brought the proposal in. TSSAA put out a survey and 54% of coaches were in favor. There was an appetite for different matchups in 2nd round. This will increase travel.
