I am constantly surprised by how woefully unprepared NBA teams often look in common late game situations that should have been planned and practiced ahead of time. Sometimes I think all pro teams could really truly benefit from having 1 longtime high school coach on staff.

On the📞with an OG insider and we started planning a poll of which coaches act most completely differently when there’s a camera and/or crowd versus when there’s not but that list got real long real quick and polls only allow 4 possible answers. Who do you think is the worst?

This is a tremendous answer. Frank may be the only guy who behaves like a belligerent psycho in public while secretly being one of the world’s most cuddly teddy bears. The others mostly do it the opposite way.

True or false If Penny and T Mac stay healthy both are top 10 of all time type dudes, as in yes right up there in the discussion with dudes like Duncan and Kobe and Shaq and Bird.

This year (excluding HBCU’s) we saw 51 D1 coaching changes overall and 14 power conference changes. Black coaches got 7 of 51 and ONE of 14. 6 black coaches got fired, ZERO black replacements. 14 white coaches got fired, TWELVE white replacements. Fucking disgraceful.

4 math based facts. You “refuted” 1 (conveniently ignoring the other 3) yet you did so via the meaningless metric of overall population instead of looking at this space. Black people are overrepresented in CBB as players+assistants yet not as head coaches and we should ask why.

LeBron James will finish his playing career as an LA Laker. (a ceremonial return to Cleveland just to retire as a Cav would not count- we mean meaningful playing career)

No bigger control freak in history than this butthole. Walked away, because he hated seeing the players share the🥧. But didn’t walk all the way away. Now wants to meddle and take pot shots. Nick could have prevented this whole mess, if he had led instead of obstructed.

“It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts” said a guy who won a championship or ten. College basketball coaches as a group could do a far better job collectively putting in more work to improve themselves and grow in the offseason. No one better than Buzz at this.

There is unprecedented growing consensus on the twitter that Nico Harrison’s most notorious secret negotiation may not in fact have been with Rob Pelinka.

IUPUI is just a better funded JUCO these days. If Luke Bosso wants to turn things around quickly and save his OWN job, hiring a current successful JUCO HC is the move. Joey Cantens (Daytona) Tyler Smithpeters (John A Logan) Steve Demeo (Northwest Florida) Brian Burns (Triton)

Should Dallas keep the #1 pick and trade Kyrie and Ant to rebuild around Flagg with young guns and draft picks or trade the #1 pick for a bonafide star to win now or add Flagg to what they have and let it play out?

One of our midwest friends likes the name Steve Hawkins as someone with a lot of Midwest influence that could settle things down at IUPUI. Hire a great young associate HC and setup the eventual transition after Steve gets IUPUI on the right track.

Kyrie has played 60+ games once in the last 8 years. AD just twice. These issues do not get better with time. Right now you can get overcompensated for both guys by teams that are emotional after losing and believe they’re “1 player away.” This is not even a tough call to me.

You are a GM starting a team from scratch and you can choose between Hakeem Olajuwon, Nikola Jokic, or Shaquille O’Neal (all healthy and in their primes) to build a team around. Who are you going with?
