When we look at meeting prospective players and their families, the ones who introduce themselves as people over simply "a hockey player" always stand out. I love Coach Maurice's answer about his group, sounds like a lot of love and respect, which no doubt fuels their game.

Along the way there will be struggles, battles, obstacles, adversity. It’s all part of the process. Rather than complaining, whining or giving up, choose to be grateful for the journey. It’s forming you into who you were meant to be. Gratitude is an advantage. Own your mindset.

You don't grow despite adversity - you grow because of it. No struggle, no growth.

Resilience doesn’t come from success, it comes from the struggle. It comes from failing, getting knocked down, experiencing doubt and then choosing to get up, to battle, to press on. Don’t avoid the struggle. Lean into it, learn from it, use it, get stronger because of it. ⛈️🦬
