If the runner is clearly out and the ball beats the runner, the runner should be out, period. You should not be bailed out by a technicality. The interpretation of the obstruction rule is wild. #NCAASoftball

I’m so confused… on one end, softball is giving away obstruction calls like it’s Halloween candy. Then you have this play not called obstruction and the runner who’s just trying to go all out to score, gets called for malicious contact when he has absolutely nowhere to go… 🤦‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
