Vashon Island Rock Wrestling Tournament tomorrow (Thursday) at the Vashon High School gym! 16 teams! Wrestling starts at 10 and we hope to have placement matches rolling by 4 pm. This is also a fundraiser for our program, if that gives you any more reason to attend.

Congrats to Colin McIntyre for taking 1st at the 40 team Everett Classic, and the Vashon team placed 11th. The ferry ride home is always fun.

Vashon Island Wrestling Pirates Final Home Dual (tomorrow) on Wednesday, January 18! JV at 5:30, then Rockbusters Intro, Senior Night, then a Girls and Guys Dual. Come watch them all, and particularly the last home meets for Seniors Ben Godwin, Aidan Green, and Josiah Brenner.

Rockbusters Rule the Rock on Saturday! #vashonislandwrestling

Vashon Island Wrestlers Qualify 10 guys and 2 girls to Regionals this weekend. Guys at Mt Baker, starting at 11 am on Saturday. Girls at Sedro Wooley, starting at 10 am on Saturday. Let’s go Vashon Wrestling!

Vashon Wrestlers placed 4th at Regionals and send 3 to state. The state tournament is at the Tacoma Dome and wrestling starts at 10 am on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available at the door and also through wiiaa.com!

State at Tacoma Dome: Day 1 Results— Colin McIntyre in Semis. Chase Bradrick and Michael Ryland in top 8 and still with chances for 3rd. Wrestling starts tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 am— don’t be late!

Vashon Island Summer Wrestling Clinic: Little League, Middle School, and High School (and an Olympian and some Simon Fraser Coaches, to boot.)

Creative Writing (mostly poetry) Camp complete. Thanks to our rockstar poet teacher, Kim Addonizio, and my intelligent, insightful, kind, AND poetic classmates for the great experience. Once again, a revival of my creative spirit— does the mind and body well!

Home Vashon Island Wrestling this Week! Senior Night and League Title Match on Wednesday (1/24) vs Cascade Christian, starting at 5:30 pm. Rockbusters Finale on Saturday (1/27), starting at 10 am. Both events at VHS Gym. See you there and invite your friends and family!

Vashon Island Pirate Wrestlers at the Tacoma Dome for the State Championships! All 10 wrestlers continue to Saturday (tomorrow), with the Quarterfinals (Hazel, Lena, Alara) starting at 9:00 am. Finals are at 5:00 pm. Pirate fans are sitting in the East side of the Dome.
