Those claiming players should be paying to play because the league loses money: read this great breakdown of the future expected WNBA earnings. This is why players were wearing "Pay Us What You Owe Us." Plus, 3 expansion teams are paying $250 million each to join. $ is coming!

Great advice for AAU coaches. Applies to HS coaches as well, but we understand there's more on the line when it comes to HS games.

WBB/MBB players still in HS bragging about racking up offers; they don't compound. Offers have short expiration dates too!

Not enough kids/parents receiving this message? "I told our kids, with the way the college-recruiting landscape is now for HS kids, you may have to go to a level lower than what you really [could've played] at a couple of years ago ..." -Team Final AAU coach

This is especially true if you actually want to play. Making a D1 program is great and all, but if you are riding the bench you don't get to develop and your personal value isn't going to translate into the portal. Go where you can shine and prove to the world you are valuable.

Can't emphasize this enough. HS coaches may put players in positions ill suited for college. A 5'8" girls basketball player may play post in HS because they are one of the tallest on the team forgoing guard skill development. 5'8" way too small for post at high college level.

Numbers to what Marsha Frese is saying: To date, there're 197 Juco > D1 transfers compared to only 115 > D1 total for ALL other schools (NAIA, NCCAA, D2/D3 or non U.S.). Sources: wbbblog.com/2025-womens-ba… wbbblog.com/womens-basketb… Choose the right program. Don't dismiss Juco.

Saundra Proctor 100%. Aaliyah Chavez better deliver for $1.5 million! OK could have gotten a lot of bang for that kind of money in the portal. Will be interesting to see the results.
