Forest Service and Township roads north of Highway 2 on the Washburn Ranger District of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest are very icy & rutted. Low clearance vehicles and other vehicles with rear-wheel drive may have difficulty negotiating the icy conditions. Use caution!

After a wildfire, it is important to wait to return home until local officials say it is safe. You may be anxious to return and assess the damage, but there may still be ongoing safety hazards such as hot ash, smoldering debris and live embers.
