It is genuinely bizarre that so much election coverage is based on polls. We basically spend a month telling the electorate our best guess of what they’ll do on election day, rather than actually informing that decision.

Double by-election win for Liberal Democrats in Oxfordshire. Note that the Tories were close in the county seat. Yet in the campaign we found very few who would admit it. This shows yet again if you want the Tories out you need to vote Liberal Democrat where we are the main contenders.

Wendy is absolutely right. If people need help they need help, regardless of how many children they have. You cannot imagine a parent being turned away at a hospital if their third child was ill. It is time the government saw sense and scrapped the limit.
