Yesterday we made ratatouille, a dish from southern France, which has inspired us to write a food review. We have also been learning how to say the different ingredients in French. #healthyschools #french #foodeducation

Part 1. Today the children learnt how to pluck and cut a pigeon using a flint stone. It’s important to teach children about the process behind the food they eat. A shocking truth for some of the children. Thanks to Chef Joe once again for a great learning experience.

Part 2. The children then cooked the pigeon and some vegetable kebabs on a hot stone taken from the fire pit. The children can now understand how difficult it must have been for people during the Stone Age to survive and flourish, 2.5 million years ago.
