Today is the feast of St. Joan of Arc. On this day in 1431, she was burnt at the stake in Rouen. This statue of her is at that spot. We ask that her prayers strengthen us to listen to the voice of God and to have the courage to do His will.

In this Jubilee of Families, Children, Grandparents, and the Elderly, I greet all families, which are the small domestic churches in which the Gospel is received and passed on. May faith, hope, and charity always grow in our families.
